Yee Hang - President

Colonel (Retired) Yee Hang was born in Laos. In 1976, his family fled to the United States. Upon graduation from the United States Military Academy in 1991, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in Armor.

His operational assignments include tours in Korea, Colorado, and Germany. He has one operational deployment to Bosnia-Herzegovina and four contingency deployments to Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Iraq. After transitioning to the Army Acquisition Corps, he served as Production Officer and Administrative Contracting Officer at the Lima Army Tank Plant (Lima, OH); Procurement Contracting Officer with the Army Corps of Engineers, North Atlantic Division (New York, NY); Procurement Contracting Officer and Chief Tactical Wheeled Vehicles Team at the Defense Supply Center Columbus; Bradley Fighting Vehicle and Paladin Integrated Management Program Integrator (York, PA); Commander Defense Contract Management Agency Central-Iraq; Commander, Defense Contract Management Agency – General Dynamics Land Systems; and Director of Contracting in the Washington DC area. He concluded his Army career as Director, Land Supplier Operations, for the Defense Logistics Agency in Columbus, Ohio.

His military education includes the Armor Basic and Advance Courses and the Command and General
Staff College. He is Level III Certified in Contracting and Level II in Program Management. He has a
Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy and a Master in Acquisition Administration
from Central Michigan University.
His awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Defense
Meritorious Service Medal, and Army Meritorious Service Medal. He is a recipient of the Defense
Contract Management Agency’s Best in Service (Army) and the Overall Junior Officer of the Year Award
for 2002. He is also a recipient of the Armor Association’s Order of Saint George Award (Bronze and
Silver Medallion) and the 2012 Army Acquisition Director of the Year at the Lieutenant Colonel level. In
2015, he was selected as one of the Top 100 candidates for the John C. Maxwell Leadership Award.
Yee currently works for 3M and serves on the board of two non-profit organizations. Yee and his better
half are the proud parents of two sons and one daughter.

Lt. Col. Tou Yang

Tou T Yang, PharmD - Vice President

Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) (Dr) Tou Theng Yang was born near Long
Cheng, Xieng Khouang Province, Laos, and immigrated to the United
States in 1976 as a refugee. He graduated from Creighton University in
1988 and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant as a Pharmacy Officer
(67E) through the ROTC program. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy.
(PharmD) from the University of Minnesota in 1990.
He went on active duty in June 1991. Since then, he has been stationed in
Georgia (twice), California, Hawaii, Texas, Washington, Germany, and
South Korea. He deployed multiple times, including a training mission to
Kosovo, a humanitarian mission to El Salvador, and two combat zone
missions: Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) in Iraq with the 212th Mobile
Army Surgical Hospital (212 MASH) and Operation Enduring Freedom
(OEF) in Afghanistan with the 115th Combat Support Hospital (115 CSH). 

In Afghanistan, he was the senior
pharmacy officer with TF MED 115 and was responsible for all Army pharmacy operations in the South, Southwest,
and West Regional Command in Afghanistan. He has held every leadership position within the US Army’s
pharmacy operations, culminating in becoming the director of pharmacy at three tertiary medical centers. As the
Director of Pharmacy at Tripler Army Medical Center and the Pharmacy Consultant for the Pacific Regional
Medical Command in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was responsible for all Army pharmacy operations in Hawaii, Japan,
and South Korea. As Director of Pharmacy at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood (renamed Fort
Cavazos in 2023), Texas, he was responsible for 11 pharmacies spread across one of the largest Army bases in the
US. Finally, as the Director of Pharmacy for Madigan Army Medical Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM),
Washington, he managed 12 pharmacies across the Army and Air Force. In addition to his BS in Pharmacy from Creighton University and PharmD from the University of Minnesota Twin
Cities, he also received a Master of Management (MM) from the University of Phoenix. His military education
includes the Officer Basic Course (OBC), Office Advance Course (OAC), Combined Arms Service and Staff School
(CAS3), and Command and General Staff College (CGSC).
His military awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (6), Army Commendation Medal (5),
Army Achievement Medal (3), Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Superior Unit Award, Afghanistan
Campaign Medal (2), Iraqi Campaign Medal (2), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service
Medal (2), Korea Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, NATO Medal, Oversea Service Ribbon (5),
and Order of Military Medical Merit (O2M3). He received the Junior Pharmacy Officer of the Year Award in 1994.
Finally, in 2017, he received the “9A” Proficiency Designator for the highest professional achievement within the
US Army Medical Department.
He retired from the Army in 2019. He is married to the former Phoua Thao. He is the proud parents of four children
and two grandchildren. He is currently calling Woodbury, Minnesota, home.

John B Yang - Executive Director

SSgt John B Yang is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. 

John graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BA in Computer Science and a minor in business.

John is the founder and CEO of Digital Synergy LLC, an AI digital marketing agency based out of Minnesota. He has over 10+ years of digital marketing experience and a proven track record working with small to large corporate Fortune 500 companies.
He is the Executive Director of a nonprofit Asian American Business Resilience Network (AABRN). He a part of many other organizations in Minnesota.
